Do you have a technical interest, enjoy working hands-on with various types of equipment, and like problem-solving? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

As a facility technician, you will ensure that maintenance is performed on operational equipment and functions technically in our depots so that the maintenance operations of vehicles are not negatively affected. You will also participate in investments regarding operational equipment and special tools. The work includes taking into account, among other things, operational economy, quality, and the equipment's traffic and electrical safety. We are looking for one person to be placed in Södertälje and another in Älvsjö.

Your upcoming role  As a facility technician, you will carry out and manage maintenance on operational equipment and special tools.

The role also includes:

• Conduct daily inspections of property and operational equipment and ongoing inspections of lifting equipment, as well as report any detected deviations.

• Ensure that deviations are addressed, either through your own efforts or by calling in a contractor.

• Ensure planned maintenance of operational equipment and that troubleshooting and repairs are carried out.

• Ensure that inspections are conducted for equipment with inspection requirements.

As a Facility Technician you will be part of the Management & Technology department, which in turn belongs to the Vehicle unit.

Expectations for the candidate You have a good technical understanding and enjoy solving problems when you find them. You are meticulous and structured and have high safety standards. You are comfortable working administratively while also enjoying hands-on work and are open to working with various types of equipment. You will be part of a team and therefore have good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently. Your placement will be in Södertälje/Älvsjö, but you have no problem stepping in and working at the other depots when needed.

Requirements:

• High competence in practical mechanics

• Experience of independent work with significant responsibility

• Completed technical high school education or equivalent

• Driving license B

We also expect you to have:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Knowledge of English, both spoken and written

• Good IT skills, mainly within the Office suite

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previously worked as a facility/operations technician

• Previously worked in a depot or workshop environment

• Previous experience in pipe installation or control and regulation technology

• Previous experience as an electrician
