About the Role
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer for an exciting consulting assignment with a leading company in the defense industry. The assignment is based at the client's office in Solna, with occasional travel to Karlskoga as needed.
You will join a technical development team working on mechanical design and creating technical documentation for advanced products. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of design experience who wants to develop within a technology-intensive environment where quality, precision, and collaboration are key.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves broad technical responsibility, where you will draw, calculate, and verify mechanical designs to meet high demands for performance and quality.
- Model and update mechanical designs in Solid Edge.
- Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Build and maintain the product structure in the PDM system.
- Import and manage components reused in the design.
- Create and manage engineering change requests/orders (ECR/ECO).
- Design internal cabling and mechanical fixings.
- Participate in assembly, testing, and verification of the product.
- Create and update assembly instructions, assembly drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for you who:
- Have a post-secondary education as a Mechanical Engineer, in Product Development, or similar.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Have very good experience working in Solid Edge.
- Have experience creating and working with technical drawings.
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- To be eligible for this role, you must be able to undergo and pass a security clearance check with register control (RK3) according to the Security Protection Act. This implies that certain requirements related to citizenship and background must be met.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience with Aras PDM or other PDM/PLM systems.
- Experience with ECR/ECO processes.
- Previous experience from manufacturing industry or product development.
