The Defense Staff is looking for an administrator focused on operations and financial monitoring for the Support Unit
Do you want to help strengthen Sweden's defense capability and be in the center of events? Are you interested in administration at a strategic level? The Defense Staff's Support Unit at the Headquarters is looking for an administrator. Welcome with your application!
About the Defense Staff's Support Unit
The Defense Staff supports the Supreme Commander in processing and preparing matters at the military strategic level, and ensures that decisions made by the authority's management are implemented, followed up, and reported back. The Defense Staff's Support Unit has an overarching responsibility for directing and following up the Armed Forces' overall logistics and material supply, development, procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of infrastructure, as well as the Armed Forces' supply flows and planning of host nation support.
Main Responsibilities
We are now looking for an administrator to be placed in the Staff Department, who will primarily focus on consolidating the monitoring of the unit's operations and finances. The work also includes supporting other tasks, e.g., coordinating the unit's information security work in the role of security representative. Your work will largely be carried out independently with a high degree of coordinating work with relevant departments within the unit. You will also have a lot of contact with other parts of the Headquarters and the Armed Forces.
The position includes, among other things:
- Monitoring operational and implementation plans (quarterly, monthly, and annual reports)
- Coordinating, planning, analyzing, and following up the unit's internal finances
- Supporting the unit's departments with handling internal finances
- Preventive, strategic, and operational work with the unit's information security and security protection (e.g., writing security protection analyses, inventorying signal protection materials, and reporting protected activities)
- Coordination of the unit's signal protection and signal protection users

Qualifications
- Relevant academic education, preferably with an economic focus, or other education or work experience that the employer assesses to be equivalent
- Several years of current and relevant work experience in similar tasks within larger organizations
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Good proficiency in the Office package, especially Excel
Personal Qualities
To both thrive and fit in the role, we see that you are positive, structured, and have a well-developed ability to take responsibility and initiative. We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and is meticulous and analytical. You have the ability to convey relevant information understandably from large amounts of data. You enjoy working in an environment characterized by both high tempo and complex matters. You have a good ability to collaborate with others, build and maintain trusting relationships, and contribute to good cooperation. You share the Armed Forces' values and code of conduct based on openness, results, and responsibility.
Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
