Economist for the Infrastructure Staff

Are you an economist with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up? We are now looking for a new employee for the infrastructure staff. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall aspects of projects that strengthen the Armed Forces' and Sweden's capabilities. Your work is significant at every step, from needs and ideas to delivery and follow-up.

About the Position

As an economist with us in the infrastructure staff, you will work closely with the operations and play a central role in supporting managers and budget holders. You are an important support in the daily work and contribute your expertise to ensure that our operations are conducted efficiently and with good financial management. The role includes developing analyses, managing forecasts and budgets, and following up on the operations' finances. You support the operations by providing relevant financial information and ensuring that the correct documentation is available in our systems. The work is varied and combines both analytical and practical elements, where your contribution has a direct impact on the development of the operations.

The position is based in Stockholm.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained high school economist or has equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have current and relevant experience in budgeting, planning, and follow-up related to projects and assignments. You have also recently worked with financial tasks involving analysis and forecasting management, and you are used to supporting both employees and managers in financial matters. To succeed in the role, it is also necessary that you have very good knowledge of Swedish, good knowledge of English, and good knowledge of MS Office, with particularly strong skills in Excel. The position requires that you have experience working in financial and business systems.

It is advantageous if you have a post-secondary education in economics and experience with governmental financial administrative regulations. We also prefer that you have worked with Business Intelligence systems such as Power BI or equivalent. If you have previous experience with investments, calculations, and depreciation related to real estate and/or IT operations, we see it as a benefit.

You will work in the infrastructure staff responsible for IT, premises, and other mission-critical infrastructure that enables efficient and secure work. The finance and control function in the support management department is responsible for leading and supporting the staff functions with planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, follow-up, and financial reporting.
