The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services and social psychiatry, as well as health and medical care interventions for these target groups. The administration has approximately 1000 employees and 45 managers. We are in an exciting phase where development and change work has a strong focus aimed at improving the quality for those we serve.

The Staffing Unit consists of two recruitment coordinators, three staffing planners, and a pool team with support assistants led by a unit manager. Our mission is to streamline and ensure the quality of the administration's recruitment and planning of temporary staff. The operations we serve include housing with special services, housing support, daily activities, short-term stays, personal assistance, social psychiatry, LSS teams, and housing for adults with dependency problems.

Together with the other staffing planners, you will be responsible for receiving and administering orders for staff during both short-term absences and longer vacancies.

The Staffing Unit SOF is located in bright and fresh premises at Bryggaregatan 15. There is also an opportunity to work from home.

Paid staffing planner for the Staffing Unit Job Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the staffing planning of temporary personnel. You will serve the needs of the operations by planning and prioritizing staff. To meet these needs, you will have dialogue with both managers and employees. Your tasks also include communicating with and supporting hourly employees in work-related matters, among other things to accommodate their preferences for how they wish to work. We are constantly working to promote Borås City's employer brand and to identify staff who function well in the city's operations.

You will be available for full-time work during the summer vacation period of 2026 (weeks 25-32). During the spring, you will work as needed on weekdays and two weekends a month. Working hours are based on the Staffing Unit's opening hours, which are 06:30-15:45 on weekdays and 06:30-13:00 on weekends. As a temporary employee, there will be opportunities to work full or part of the day on weekdays. For weekend work, you will work the entire shift, independently, and there is an opportunity to work from home.

Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the application period.

We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled in a university program, and it is an advantage if you are in your first year of study. You possess good IT skills as this is your primary working tool and have the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. It is also an advantage if you have previous experience in care and welfare operations.

To succeed in the role of staffing planner, you need to have the ability to see opportunities and options in challenging situations. Since there is often high pressure on the Staffing Unit, it is important that you can prioritize and that you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to be development-oriented and flexible is highly valued. You should enjoy working in a team as well as independently and be able to take responsibility. The Staffing Unit is a service function, so it is important that you are attentive and have a sense of service, as you will be in contact with managers, employees, and our hourly staff.
