Fleet Coordinator at Lerum Municipality
Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lerum is only a 20-minute commute from Gothenburg and is currently facing a development-intensive period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. Recently, Dagens Samhälle awarded Lerum the title of winner in the category of metropolitan municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!
The Property Unit is responsible for coordinating Lerum Municipality's vehicle fleet. The fleet currently consists of approximately 230 vehicles, primarily cars, used by all municipal operations. We are working towards the goal that our entire fleet will be powered by renewable energy by 2030 and are on the right track.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a fleet coordinator, you will have operational responsibility for coordinating the municipality's vehicle fleet. You will work in a team with our other fleet coordinators and several colleagues from the unit and operational area. The position is varied and involves both working at the unit's base at Garveriet in Floda and working in the field.
The main responsibilities for the position are:
- Receiving reports of faults and orders for vehicles and ongoing communication with customers.
- Supplier contacts and ordering of services, repairs, tire changes, inspections, towing services, consumables, and similar.
- Monitoring and updating the municipality's vehicle platform.
- Driving vehicles to and from customers and workshops as needed.
- Basic troubleshooting and fault rectification for vehicle issues.
- Participating in strategic work with fleet coordination, procurement, and development of working methods and operations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have at least a high school education and a minimum of five years of experience in an administrative role with customer contact.
- You have good IT skills.
- You express yourself well and master the Swedish language in both speech and writing as the role involves a lot of communication with our customers.
- Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
If you have previous experience working with vehicles, Portify Fleet Intelligence, Proceedo, or in a politically governed organization, we consider this an advantage.
To succeed in this role, you are responsible, self-driven, and structured, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You are service-oriented and able to adapt to changing circumstances. It is important that you have an interest in both vehicles and people, as well as an administrative flair to succeed in this role.
