Contract Controller for the Army
We offer a developing role as a Contract Controller for the Army where you will gain a broad insight into the work at the Army Staff and play a key role in the maintenance and procurement of equipment in the Armed Forces!

Recruiting Unit
The Armament Unit is responsible for planning and leading the supply of equipment and systems used throughout the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces are in a phase of growth. The supply and turnover of equipment and systems mean that we are in need of growth.
About the Position
As a Contract Controller, you will be part of a team within the Planning Department's contract function. The general task of the contract function is to coordinate and organize commercial activities and needs, as well as support the procurement process. As a contract controller, you serve as a boundary interface between commercial operations and the activities carried out in the maintenance phase.
The position involves many points of contact both internally within the Armed Forces and with other authorities, which requires good collaboration skills. Parts of the work are carried out individually and must be able to be conducted under significant personal responsibility. The organization is in a phase of growth which means that working methods, models, and methods must be developed in collaboration with both internal and external actors.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with coordination and organization of commercial issues within the Army Staff and higher management
- Maintain the Army's current needs for framework agreements and contracts, primarily within maintenance, as well as monitor contract periods and options and work with long-term plans regarding contract needs
- Participate and represent the Army in the procurement process with analyses, calculations, and contract issues
- Support with financial work related to the agreements, such as monitoring indices and tracking the framework and conditions of the contracts
- Coordinate the Army Staff's need for procurement support and collaborate and conduct information sessions regarding contracts and commercial issues
- Participate in contract communication work between the Armed Forces and FMV
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University or college degree in economics, law, or equivalent, or competence acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Current and relevant work experience from a larger authority or company within the defense sector or another government authority
- Good knowledge of public administration and procurement/purchasing
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
- Class B driver's license
Personal Qualities
You are confident in working independently and take responsibility for your tasks, which requires you to prioritize and work in a structured manner. You have good organizational skills and a professional demeanor. You enjoy collaborating and find it easy to build good relationships.
You are flexible, communicative, pedagogical, and passionate about analyzing numbers, as well as analyzing and reporting deviations in established framework agreements. You have a holistic perspective and take initiative when needed.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
Meritorious
- Experience in procurement and contracting within an authority that applies the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and the Procurement Act in the Defense and Security Sector (LUFS).
- Current and relevant work experience regarding commercial coordination and/or purchasing coordination
- Experience in Technical Services and Material Production in the Armed Forces
- Good knowledge of the Armed Forces' business systems, SAP/PRIO
- Experience handling classified security information
Other
Employment type: Permanent employment, starting with a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed in the Armed Forces.
