The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About the organization

The Communications Unit consists of four communicators, led by a communications manager, and together we provide strategic and operational support to management and operations based on various areas of expertise.

The responsibilities of the Communications Unit include: internal, management, and external communication, internal and external web, social media, press and media relations, crisis communication, brand work, film and photography, graphic production, and project communication. The Västra Götaland Region and the Hospitals in the West focus heavily on the transformation of healthcare, where digitization and developed working methods are key factors.

About the position

The position of communicator with us focuses on film and graphic production. In the role of communicator, you will strengthen the communication team and assist with various tasks within the communication field. You will work both operationally and strategically. Your placement will be at Kungälv Hospital, but the position includes working from our various hospitals as needed.

Your main tasks will include:

• film and graphic production
• working with the Hospitals in the West's social media channels together with others in the team
• content production for the hospitals' digital screens
• editorial text content for intranet and websites
• analyzing communication needs, identifying target groups, messages, activities, and channels
• practically working with communication in various projects and publishing in different channels
• contributing to the continuous development of communication work and work processes to strengthen the unit's overall communicative competence.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in media and communication science or equivalent education
• excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms, as well as a strong language sense
• experience in filming and delivering a final product
• experience in graphic production and text production
• experience working in a CMS (we use Optimizely)
• several years of experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud
• knowledge of digital accessibility adaptation.

You should have the ability to make your own assessments and priorities as the work demands high demands on your ability to handle a fast pace and make balanced decisions even under pressure. You should also be adaptable to changing circumstances and see opportunities in various changes.
