Berwald's preschool works on language and knowledge development based on our compensatory mission. The preschool has space for 94 children and currently has 5 departments. Each department has preschool teachers and childcare workers.
Temporary Position
The temporary position will have working hours based on the preschool's needs. The position is 80% and the working hours will vary on different days and can be scheduled between the preschool's opening hours of 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Working hours and tasks are assigned in the children's group.
Job Description
The task is to work as a childcare worker in a children's group with several children in need of extra support. You will lead a children's group of 5-10 children in educational situations where children in need of special support are included. You should be able to use concrete materials and visual support to make education accessible for children in need of special support. The job includes working compensatorily and adapting education so that it leads to development and learning for all children. You will work in a team where collaboration and structure are prerequisites.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained childcare worker. To succeed in the role, you need experience in the childcare profession. The job requires experience with children with special needs as well as experience and interest in inclusive work with children with special needs. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and good knowledge of the preschool curriculum are also requirements for the position. We also see that you have knowledge of working on language and knowledge development with multilingual children.
As a person, you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. The job suits you if you have an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge in various ways.
