At Perrongen, the family therapist has the opportunity to make a significant difference over time together with many others who share the same goal - including the family. The aim is often to avoid other more extensive measures such as placement, which means that motivation is high for all involved. The results for goal fulfillment are high and the positions are in demand. Does this sound interesting? We welcome your application!
Perrongen is a small unit with few places but with the capacity to handle complex cases where support can be provided over a longer period. The target group is young people aged 10-20 with extensive social problems. The intervention includes a qualified contact person for leisure activities, a coordination function as many other actors are involved, and family conversations. As a family therapist, you are responsible for all parts of the various areas together with a colleague.
The working time agreement is referred to as trust-based framework time, which means freedom under responsibility to work weekdays 40 hours/week but with great flexibility - availability and need are highly prioritized. There is room, if deemed possible, to work remotely but not at the expense of the needs of the operation and families.
Job Description
At Perrongen, the family therapist works within three main areas. Perrongen recruits, investigates, and supervises contact persons who are involved in supporting the youth's goals for meaningful leisure. Perrongen also holds regular network meetings where the role involves coordination, documentation, and structure around goals and ensuring that the implementation plan is continuously followed up. The third area is to offer family work based on the family's needs. If support from other units or organizations is needed, Perrongen helps to make contact. It is the social administration's departments within the authority that refer to Perrongen, but coordination often occurs together with schools, psychiatry, and/or other external interventions.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent degree. You have experience in the work you are trained for. The job requires that you have good knowledge of external and internal tools and experience in conducting conversations with families and their closest networks.
If you have experience in investigating, matching, and supervising contact persons, needs-driven and legally secure, this is considered an advantage.
As a person, you are proactive and able to initiate activities to achieve results. You are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Additionally, you have the ability to understand others' perspectives and from that understand their actions.
