Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. We are looking for a colleague in social work who wants to develop with us and have a job that is both varied and stimulating. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting by agreement. A probationary period may apply.

Your mission

Your area of work with us is psychosocial ill-health that does not require specialist psychiatric resources. In your work, you provide support and advice to strengthen the patient's resources to manage their life situation, such as crisis and grief processing. You work with individual psychosocial mapping and support the patient in navigating among the various support resources in society.

You primarily work independently with the adult age group from 18 years and older but are part of the team with other professional functions at the health center. Your consultation with colleagues at the health center and within Primary Care is an important aspect of the work.

Your competence

We are looking for someone who is a licensed health and medical care social worker and has good experience in psychosocial work. Basic training in psychotherapy with a focus on CBT step 1 is an advantage, as well as experience from working in primary care.

To be successful in the job, you need to lead yourself, have good structure in your work, possess a high degree of initiative, and also have high flexibility. You enjoy developing operations and forms of collaboration, both within and between health centers. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Our operations

Gimo Health Center with the branches Alunda and Österbybruk has about 60 employees and approximately 12,000 registered patients. Here, flexibility, interest in development, and providing good service to residents are highly valued. All professional areas within the health center's mission are represented, and we also have a youth clinic. For you, there are great opportunities to help shape the operations and take responsibility for certain tasks or areas of operation.
