About the Workplace

The unit for mother tongue teachers and study guides currently has 20 employees who speak 18 different languages.

Organizationally, the unit is located under one of the municipality's primary schools, Gröna Dalenskolan, and the head of the operation is also the principal of that school. The unit has an assistant principal, who is also part of the school's management team.

Your Responsibilities

The position is combined and includes work as both a study guide and a mother tongue teacher in Spanish.

As a study guide in Spanish, you provide students with support in Spanish across various school subjects. The work is based on current curriculum and subject plans and is carried out in close collaboration with subject teachers, mentors, and class teachers. You adapt the study guidance according to the student's needs and maintain regular contact with relevant educators and colleagues within the organization. The assignment also includes participation in workplace meetings and study days.

As a mother tongue teacher in Spanish, you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the curriculum and course plan for mother tongue. You assess and document students' knowledge development and assign grades when appropriate. The work also includes contact and collaboration with guardians. You lead the teaching in a clear and safe manner, focusing on students' development and goal fulfillment.

The work is distributed across several of the municipality's school units with good communication links. Your employment is at a centrally located primary school in Håbo municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• can provide study guidance in Spanish
• has a pedagogical education
• has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• is flexible, responsive, and has good collaborative skills
• can work both independently and together with others

For the position as a mother tongue teacher, we are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in Spanish. You have good subject knowledge and work pedagogically based on students' different needs and conditions. You can adapt the teaching and create safe and functioning learning environments for students of different ages. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and school management.
