About the assignment

The position will develop, strengthen, and coordinate Tanum Municipality's preventive and supportive work, always with the needs of the residents as the starting point. As a field worker, you will be an important force in creating safe, sustainable, and inclusive solutions for different target groups in our municipality.

The assignment is broad, varied, and takes place where people are. You will work operationally, both independently and together with others, and meet different target groups based on their needs. The position is based on assignments within the care administration, but also involves capturing needs, initiating activities, and building relationships that make a difference for our residents.

You will create and drive groups, activities, and initiatives that enhance safety, participation, and well-being, while also providing individual support when needed. The assignment is not tied to a specific age, target group, or activity but is shaped according to the needs that arise. Therefore, you need to be able to initiate, develop, and establish collaboration with civil society when relevant and possible.

We are looking for someone who

• Thrives in a dynamic and varied assignment.
• Is self-reliant, confident in themselves, and has an easy time building relationships.
• Has an easy time collaborating with both internal and external actors.
• Has experience in social work, fieldwork, motivational work, or similar.

Qualifications and conditions

Relevant university education, for example in social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, or another equivalent field.

Experience working with people of various ages and with varying needs, preferably in preventive or supportive contexts. Good ability to work operationally in the field, both independently and together with other actors. Strong relational and collaborative skills — comfortable in meeting people, building trust, and collaborating well with various actors, including civil society and community organizations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license is required, as the position requires movement within the municipality. The social services require a background check before employment.

The position is a project employment until 2026-12-31 with a possible extension.
