About the Job
We are now looking for someone interested in a developing job where you can support individuals in their daily lives and enable them to have a meaningful existence.
We offer a stimulating job where you, together with the unit manager, educators, and workgroup, participate in planning and developing the operations. The position is a temporary contract that extends until March 2027.
Idas Gård is an LSS residence located in Högsbo, close to nature and good transportation links. Here, 5 individuals aged 27 to 65 live with individual and varying support needs. The target group we work with consists of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The tenants live in their own apartments with access to common areas.
In your role, you will work with various tasks where you provide pedagogical support in everyday life. You will assist tenants in being active participants in community life and during leisure activities. Personal care and support in the home, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, will be carried out as much as possible together with the tenants. You will work motivationally and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's abilities.
You will be the contact person for one tenant. This means maintaining contact with relatives and other networks, as well as actively working to follow up on implementation plans and managing ongoing documentation, which occurs with the tenant's involvement.
Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and sleeping on-call, as well as three weekends out of six according to a schedule.
About You
We are looking for someone with a care assistant education of 800 gymnasiepoäng. Alternatively, 60 university credits in relevant courses within behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care.
You have previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and the low-arousal approach. You also have knowledge and experience in social documentation.
Communication is an important part of the job, which requires you to master the Swedish language both in speech and writing. This means a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider EducateIt.
If you have experience with the methods of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), IBIC (individual needs in focus), ESL (an independent life), and MI (motivational interviewing), this will be to your advantage.
For the position, you need to be comfortable working independently as there will be solo work. You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations, can balance the demands placed on you, and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible. You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks and consider those we are here for and their best interests.
Warm welcome with your application!
