Activity Pedagogue in Elderly Care

As an activity pedagogue in elderly care, you will work to improve the quality and efficiency of elderly care services by developing, implementing, and supporting new working methods, processes, and evidence-based approaches.

Your Role

The role is new within elderly care in Vara, and there are great opportunities to influence the content and contribute to development. The role involves analyzing existing routines, training staff in new strategies such as person-centered care, and driving change initiatives to ensure high quality and compliance with laws such as the Social Services Act.

In Vara, we will be part of the National Initiative for Elderly Care, which aims to increase competence. As an activity pedagogue, you will be responsible for planning the implementation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, guide, consult, and strengthen methodological work, approach, attitude, and other pedagogical issues at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
• Support and guide staff regarding social documentation and in the establishment and follow-up of implementation plans according to IBIC together with the documentation representative of the operational area.
• Collaboration function towards internal and external stakeholders. Close cooperation with sector social welfare strategists and developers.
• If necessary, convene and lead network meetings.
• Identify and highlight development needs.
• Monitor the external environment and implement new knowledge and research in relevant areas, as well as plan long-term and short-term competence and training initiatives within elderly care.

Your Knowledge and Experience

We prefer that you have a post-secondary education, for example as a social worker, elderly pedagogue, or vocational training in social care.

Experience working in elderly care is also an advantage, and we will emphasize personal suitability.

A driver's license is required.
