Support Assistant at Öjersjövägens Group Home

As a support assistant with us, you will provide our residents with individually tailored support in their daily lives.

This means that you work based on the resident's needs and wishes, which lays the foundation for the individually tailored support in the user's everyday life. The support includes all common tasks such as leisure and household chores. It is important to be attentive and promote the residents' opportunities for development. You will collaborate daily with the residents, their relatives/guardians, and staff from other services.

Care work is included in the tasks as well as quality assurance in the form of social documentation, implementation plans, and following routines and establishing such together with colleagues.

The work includes social documentation in Treserva. Working hours are scheduled for mornings, evenings, every other weekend, and nights with on-call duty.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a support assistant education, vocational diploma from the care and nursing program or the child and leisure program, or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience working with individuals who have intellectual, mental, and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities, preferably as a support assistant within LSS operations.

As a person, you are responsible and have a respectful approach with the resident's best interests in focus. You are adaptable based on individual and situation, have good collaboration skills, and a pedagogical approach. You are flexible and attentive in your working style and contribute to a positive work environment.

Good to know

It is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at level B1 according to the Council of Europe's standard before the interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test. Before a possible employment, you must present a valid passport or national ID for verification of identity and citizenship.

Kåsjön is within walking distance, and a grocery store is nearby for food shopping. Our operations are based on the residents' needs, and opportunities for an active life are created based on their interests. All our apartments have their own patio, and there is an opportunity for personal gardening during the summer months for those who wish.
