Youth Worker/Family Therapist for First Line Child Care

Do you want to work closely with children, youth, and families at an early stage – focusing on preventive, supportive, and developmental interventions? We are now looking for a youth worker/family therapist for our operations within first line child care.

About the position

The position is located within first line child care and primarily involves work within:

• Our meeting places for children and youth.
• Targeted interventions towards schools.
• Interventions within IUB (interventions without assistance decisions).
• Collaboration with school social teams.

Family therapy is included as the implementation of decided interventions. The work is characterized by an early preventive perspective focusing on strengthening the protective factors of children and youth as well as families' abilities.

You will work both individually and in teams, as well as in close collaboration with schools, social services, and other actors.

Responsibilities

• Create safe relationships with children, youth, and families
• Work proactively and preventively at meeting places
• Implement targeted interventions in our schools
• Conduct supportive and therapeutic interventions within the framework of IUB
• Implement family therapy
• Collaborate with school social teams and perform school social team interventions
• Document according to applicable guidelines
• Evening and weekend work is included

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant post-secondary education, such as a social worker, treatment educator, social educator, or equivalent education
• Experience working with children, youth, and families
• Good knowledge of preventive and early interventions

Meritorious is experience in:

• Family therapy or outpatient work
• School social work
• IUB interventions

• Relationship-building and secure in meeting with children, youth, and adults
• Flexible and solution-focused
• Independent but also used to working in teams
• Engaged in preventive social work
