Accounting Manager at Saint-Gobain Ecophon

About the role

As Accounting Manager at Ecophon, you will be responsible for the accounting of the Swedish company Ecophon AB. This involves hands-on work with monthly and annual financial statements, tax calculations, income tax returns, and complex VAT management for several countries, including the UK, Poland, Denmark, and Finland.

You will report to the CFO for Sweden and work closely with both national and international partners within the Saint-Gobain group. The role is operational and broad, meaning you will handle everything from reconciliations and bookings to ensuring that accounting processes comply with both local and international requirements. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of internal routines and processes.

Main responsibilities

• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting according to both Swedish and international standards such as IFRS.
• Manage tax calculations, VAT returns, and VAT registrations in multiple countries.
• Ensure that the company's financial processes comply with regulations and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of processes and routines and participate in improvement projects.
• Collaborate with various business units within Saint-Gobain both in Sweden and internationally.

Suitable background

We are looking for someone who has a natural ability to take responsibility and work independently. You are analytical and solution-oriented with a structured approach. In addition, we see that you have:

• A university degree in finance or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work in an international context.
• Experience with VAT issues at an international level.
• Good understanding of business systems and experience working in a broad accounting role.
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
