Amplius Omsorg is a care chain primarily aimed at qualified assessment and treatment for children with or without parents, and women with or without children. We are now looking for family therapists for our HVB for families.

About Ellagård

At Ellagård, we work with assessment and treatment for families with children up to 16 years old. We address issues related to attachment, care, trauma, domestic violence, and neuropsychiatric difficulties – always with the child's perspective in focus. Ellagård has 34 places and we offer round-the-clock care with staffing available 24/7. Families live in their own room or apartment with self-catering. The facility has common areas and a dining room where families are served homemade meals. We have a large garden with plenty of space for play and fun. The workgroup consists of a manager, unit manager, treatment and assessment responsible, family therapists, treatment pedagogues, psychologist, therapist, nurse. We also have a child psychiatrist associated with the operation.

About the role

As a family therapist, you will meet families based on their specific situation. The work involves supporting, helping, and providing security to parents and children in a home for care and accommodation (HVB). The work is varied, and no day is the same. Primarily, the work is performed at the facility during the placement period, but you may also provide support during leisure time, accompany families to school, child health centers, and during visits with family and networks. Tasks may include everything from meeting children in crisis and helping them in the moment, to cooking, driving, conducting observations, reinforcing parental skills, documenting, and working with parent education. We work based on the social services' assignment according to BBIC with each child placed with us.

Working hours are scheduled with variations in days, evenings, and weekends. On-call duty may also occur.

About you

We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education in social work as a social worker, behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, or who has other education combined with experience that we consider equivalent. You have worked in HVB, SiS, or with family therapy for at least four years.

It is also advantageous if you have:

  • experience in treatment for children and adolescents as well as psychiatry
  • experience with outwardly aggressive behavior and working with a low-arousal approach
  • knowledge in NPF
  • experience in journal management
  • experience with BBIC

The work requires you to be secure, structured, risk-aware, solution-focused, resilient, and have good conditions to work in a sometimes tough psychosocial work environment. You have a good ability to communicate with children and parents and to build good relationships. You also have a strong commitment to vulnerable groups, and we see that you should have experience in meeting and understanding people with different backgrounds. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your knowledge of Swedish and English is good, both spoken and written. If you have additional language skills, it is an advantage. Good computer skills and good knowledge of social documentation are necessary. A driver's license for a passenger car (B) is a requirement.

Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference, where you get to work in a company that has high quality standards and where development and improvement work is a priority? Do you want to, just like us, go the extra mile and exceed expectations? Welcome with your application!

About us

We believe that a grounded approach creates safe environments when they are needed the most. We who are part of Amplius all have solid education and many years of qualified experience in meeting children, young people, and families in need of HVB homes or protected accommodations – both as caregivers and as authorities.

How to apply for the job
