Your role with us

Your tasks mainly consist of processing and documentation according to SoL and LVU, where you are responsible for the investigative work and for following up on approved interventions. You will have contact with the child/young person, their guardians, and social networks. You make individual assessments, collaborate internally and externally, and work together with management and colleagues to develop the operations in various ways. You are responsible, based on delegation, for legally secure processing and decisions in individual cases and ensuring that established routines are followed. Our approach is focused on the needs of the citizen.

Who are we looking for?

We want you to have a degree in social work. If you have training in BBIC and Signs of Safety, that is an advantage. Experience in authority exercise from child and youth activities is meritorious, as is experience in social work within authority exercise. Of course, you handle IT tools in your daily work and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as communication and documentation are part of the job. We want you to be good at adapting your communication based on the intended target group. You need to have a B driver's license for manual transmission to get around our municipality when needed.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves, has analytical skills, is flexible, creative, and brave. You dare to see, take responsibility, and can handle difficult acute situations and have the ability to make decisions. The ability to draw conclusions and create effective solutions through analysis of information is also required in the role. You have integrity and stand for good ethics. Collaboration is a given for you, and you can create and maintain good relationships both internally and externally. Furthermore, you need to be able to work both independently and together with colleagues and partners. You are a structured person with the ability to plan, follow up, and complete activities.

To provide our citizens with the best possible response and support, the Children and Youth department in Kristianstad has chosen to focus two of our three investigative units on younger children and the third unit on young people. By organizing our work based on age groups, we can offer more targeted and needs-based support. We offer our employees more accessible support and leadership, and our investigation teams consist of 6-7 employees, with each team being led by a close team leader. As an employee, you also have close access to your unit manager.

ONE administration - ready for the future! The social services will become more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based - and with the new Social Services Act as a foundation, active change work is currently underway with us, where our entire administration is transitioning to have a strengthened focus on preventive work, developed collaboration where we can create more flexible and accessible support, and increased accessibility for our citizens. As an employee with us, you will be part of shaping the future of social services. On April 1, we will implement our new organization - and in the investigative units, we have chosen to organize our teams based on work with "investigation" or "intervention". This means that as an "investigator" with us, you will work more focused on investigating the child's needs, and as an "interventionist," you will work more focused on following up on assessed interventions.
