We are looking for someone who wants to work with a social, active, and charming young adult who has autism and epilepsy. The assistance user is cheerful, enjoys walks, music, and other social activities. It is important for the person that you are engaged, share yourself, and act as a driving force in everyday life.

The work is varied – some days are filled with play and laughter, while others require you to prevent and manage frustration or problem-causing behaviors. During outings and other larger activities, you will always work in pairs, as the assistance user requires double assistance. You will receive an individualized introduction where you will learn about the assistance user's needs, routines, and working methods.

Your tasks include support in all parts of everyday life, such as meals, personal hygiene, communication, and activities. Therefore, you need to be active and initiative-taking, while also being empathetic, structured, and able to create a sense of security. Humor, warmth, and the ability to adapt to different moods and environments are important qualities. The work should always contribute to strengthening the assistance user's independence and self-determination.

Experience in personal assistance, low-arousal approach, and/or AAC is meritorious but not a requirement. The position involves working on a rotating schedule with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The position is full-time starting in June, but we would like you to start working already this spring. We are looking for both those who want to work more continuously and those who want a part-time job. As a personal assistant at Prima Omsorg, mandatory training and guidance apply.
