Substitute Worker in Social Work at Beijershus

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute worker with us at Beijershus. The work is scheduled during the day or evening depending on your availability and when you wish to work.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide supportive and motivational assistance to clients who are experiencing mental health issues and/or withdrawal symptoms, aiming to prevent relapse and promote positive change. The work is based on the methods of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Relapse Prevention, as well as a harm-reducing and low-arousal approach.
A central part of the job is to create trusting relationships and contribute to a safe living environment that provides structure and context in daily life. You will support and motivate the residents and adapt your approach based on the individual's needs and situation, with a non-judgmental attitude.
Based on the assignment plan provided by the Housing Authority, implementation plans are established in collaboration with the client. These are living documents that are followed up and documented in Journal Digital.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with internal and external actors such as outpatient care for addiction, psychiatry, healthcare, police, social emergency services, and other units within social services.
The role also includes practical tasks, such as cleaning living rooms upon move-out, serving food and coffee, and providing support in daily chores like cleaning and laundry when needed.
Qualifications
For these positions, the following is required:
- Started or completed education as a social worker, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or other relevant education deemed suitable by the employer for the assignment.
- Relevant work experience in social work where meeting people has been an important part.
- Very good Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious:
- Ongoing or completed internship as part of your education.
- Experience working with individuals living with mental health issues.
- Experience working with individuals living with addiction issues.
- Experience working with a low-arousal approach.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Training and experience in MI and/or solution-focused approaches.
- Experience working with documentation in similar operations.
- Experience working from a harm-reducing perspective.
- Experience collaborating with other actors regarding our target group, such as healthcare and psychiatry, police, disability support administration, and municipal authorities that decide on housing.

About the Workplace
Beijershus is a drug-free emergency accommodation that is part of the department of Housing, Intervention, and Support. The operation works with issues of addiction and homelessness and receives clients from Malmö city via assistance, regardless of gender identity. Beijershus has a total of 44 places, the majority of which are located in Kirseberg, but 16 places are available at Grangatan 7 near Värnhem. The accommodation is organized into three units where placement is based on the individual's need for support. The aim is to provide a safe and stable living environment, both in the short and long term, tailored to the individual's situation.
The Housing and Support unit provides accommodations and housing solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness who need support. Within the unit's seven sections and operations, there is a common mission to offer individually adapted housing forms for individuals who, due to harmful use, addiction, or other life difficulties, need support in their daily living.
