Description

As a communications strategist, you play a key role in developing and coordinating the municipality's strategic and operational communication.

You will work closely with the communications manager, management, and operations, contributing to clear, relevant, and target group-adapted communication. The role combines long-term development with operational work and requires both analytical skills and practical implementation capability.

The communications unit is part of the municipal management staff and will consist of two communicators, one communications strategist, and will be led by the communications manager.

The communications unit works to ensure that communication is target group-adapted, clear, and coordinated. Internally, communication should contribute to engagement and a good working environment, while externally it should create transparency and participation in the municipality's decisions, matters, and operations. Communication is also used as a tool for change work, so that the municipality achieves its goals and realizes its vision. The unit is also responsible for the municipality's contact center and works with service and reception to provide residents, businesses, and visitors with clear and accessible information.

Responsibilities

As a communications strategist, you will be responsible for:

• planning, implementing, and following up on communication efforts
• developing communication plans, analyzing target groups, and clarifying messages
• leading and coordinating communication projects and processes
• providing communicative support to the organization and contributing to change work
• working with resident dialogue
• media management
• developing the place brand through both strategic and operational communication efforts
• working with images, film, and web broadcasts
• managing, developing, and streamlining the municipality's communication channels
• working with strategic and operational crisis communication
• covering for communicators in operational work as needed

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or similar
• at least three years of experience in qualified and strategic communication work
• very high digital competence
• experience leading communication projects and larger processes
• experience working both strategically and operationally
• experience with CMS and digital platforms
• a valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in brand work, media management, and film production
• knowledge of Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere) and case management systems
• experience working in a politically governed organization

As a person, you are proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented. You have good collaboration skills, are pedagogical, and enjoy coordinating and creating engagement.
