Coordinator – Children's and Youth's Health
Do you want to help shape the future collaboration for children's and youth's health?
Mora Municipality has been running a successful project focusing on collaboration around children's and youth's health for the past three years.
Now that our current coordinator has moved on to another position, we are looking for a strategic coordinator who wants to take over and further develop the ongoing work.
In this role, you will lead, develop, and deepen the collaboration between the municipality's operations and Region Dalarna – focusing on long-term, sustainable, and preventive work for children and youth.
The position is placed under the school principal in a cross-departmental assignment between the preschool and primary school administration, the high school administration, and the social services administration, in close collaboration with regional actors.
About the Assignment
As a coordinator, you have an overarching, strategic, and development-oriented assignment. Your focus is on creating structures, working methods, and collaboration forms that strengthen the municipality's overall work for children's and youth's health, learning, and well-being.
The role involves initiating, leading, and coordinating strategic processes, creating conditions for joint priorities, and ensuring that initiatives are based on knowledge, research, and proven experience.
At the same time, the assignment includes certain operational elements, mainly related to coordinating joint activities such as lecture evenings, network meetings, and other knowledge-enhancing initiatives. These are carried out to strengthen collaboration, spread knowledge, and create engagement within the organization.
You work at an overarching level and do not have a direct assignment towards children, youth, or guardians. The focus is on supporting managers, management groups, and professionals in their strategic development and collaboration work.
A central part of the role is to develop and deepen collaboration between the municipality, region, and other relevant community actors.
Your Main Tasks
- Lead and develop strategic collaboration between schools, social services, and Region Dalarna.
- Initiate, coordinate, and drive cross-departmental development processes.
- Create structures, forums, and long-term collaboration models.
- Ensure common working methods, routines, and strategic agreements.
- Act as a strategic process support for managers and operations.
- Monitor the environment, analyze, and contribute current research, national guidelines, and good examples.
- Coordinate and plan joint knowledge-enhancing activities, such as lectures and network meetings.
- Contribute to follow-up, evaluation, and visibility of the work internally and externally.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with solid experience in strategic development work who thrives in a coordinating and driving role where structure, collaboration, and long-term focus are paramount.
We see that you have:
- A degree in social sciences, pedagogy, public health, social work, behavioral sciences, or another relevant field.
- Experience in strategic development work within the public sector.
- Good knowledge of collaboration processes between different stakeholders.
- The ability to analyze complex contexts and translate them into sustainable structures.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working closely with managers and leadership functions.
Meritorious:
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Experience in collaboration between municipalities and regions.
- Knowledge of preventive and health-promoting work for children and youth.
Personal Qualities
You are strategic, structured, and relationship-building. You easily see the big picture, build networks, and create consensus among different operations. You are confident in a leadership role without formal personnel responsibility and enjoy driving development work at an overarching level while also appreciating practical coordination elements.
