About the Role

As a Controller with us, your analytical skills and business interest play a central role in driving the company's strategy forward. You are a business partner and advisor to both employees and managers on financial matters, ensuring that the business has the right decision-making basis to achieve its goals.

You will be responsible for the financial follow-up of project activities and analyze results, profitability, and key figures. Through budget and forecasting work, you will drive structured and future-oriented financial management in close collaboration with the accounting manager and business managers.

The role also involves preparing well-founded decision-making bases for investments and business cases, where your analytical skills create clear recommendations for future choices. You will also participate in external reporting to the board and ensure that the information is accurate, transparent, and strategically relevant.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support employees and managers in financial matters and operational business decisions.
• Be responsible for the financial follow-up of project activities, both VB Elnät and VB Energi.
• Create, improve, and ensure the quality of working methods, processes, and reporting systems for financial and project follow-up.
• Analyze and follow up on results, profitability, and operational key figures, and participate in monthly closings in collaboration with the accounting manager and business managers.
• Drive and participate in budget and forecasting work.
• Actively participate in external reporting to the board.

Requirements:

• Relevant university or college degree (business economist or other relevant education), or equivalent competence acquired through relevant work experience.
• Several years of relevant work experience and good knowledge of the fundamentals of accounting.
• Genuine interest in management, follow-up, and business development.
• Advanced user of the Office suite and Excel, and you effectively use digital tools to create structure, analyses, and decision-making bases.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license B.

Meritorious:

Experience from the energy or related industry.
