We are looking for a preparedness coordinator to be placed in the unit for Security, Risk, and Preparedness, which serves as an expert function within the Regional Council's administration. Security, Risk, and Preparedness provide support to all of the region's operations within civil preparedness, continuity planning, information security, fire safety, physical security, and radiation safety. The unit also conducts a significant amount of work related to the region's crisis organization and the function of duty officer. The work takes place at both strategic and operational levels.

Do you want to help develop Region Dalarna's work with civil preparedness and contribute to increasing our robustness, resilience, and resistance? We are looking for someone with drive and commitment who, together with your closest colleagues and the region's operations, wants to ensure that the region has a well-established and structured approach to civil preparedness. The position is based in Falun but involves some travel within and outside the county. You will have many points of contact with other organizations and authorities within total defense.

The position is security classified, which means requirements for Swedish citizenship and that a security screening and background check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (SFS 2018:585) will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.

As a preparedness coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the achievement of the region's goals
• Helping to develop the region's work with civil preparedness and disaster medicine
• Providing support to the region's managers and operations regarding systematic work on crisis management, capacity enhancement, and continuity management
• Planning, conducting, and participating in exercises and training in civil preparedness, disaster medicine, and crisis management
• Revising, communicating, and implementing the region's preparedness plans
• Planning, structuring, following up, and reporting on the work
• Participating in special healthcare management
• Collaborating internally with the region's operations to develop, communicate, and clarify the region's work in civil preparedness
• Collaborating externally with other authorities and organizations to develop, communicate, and clarify the region's work in disaster medical preparedness and civil defense.
• Reporting will be to the security manager and team leader within civil preparedness

We are now looking for a preparedness coordinator to be placed in the unit for Security, Risk, and Preparedness, which serves as an expert function within the Regional Council's administration. We provide support to all of the region's operations within civil preparedness, continuity planning, information security, fire safety, physical security, and radiation safety. The unit also conducts a significant amount of work related to the region's crisis organization and the function of duty officer. The work takes place at both strategic and operational levels.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in crisis preparedness, total defense, civil protection, or other relevant education deemed suitable by the employer.

We place particular emphasis on collaboration skills and personal qualities. You have good analytical skills and can translate complex overarching perspectives into practical action. Your approach is solution- and results-oriented, and you have good pedagogical skills in anchoring the work within the organization. You are skilled at prioritizing and being flexible in your tasks.

A driver's license (B) is required.

If you have knowledge of and experience in any of the following areas, it is advantageous:

• Work with risk and vulnerability analyses
• Continuity planning
• Public administration and politically governed organizations
• Current and upcoming legislation in the preparedness area
• Disaster medicine
• Civil defense
• Crisis management and staff work
• Experience in leading, conducting, and evaluating exercises
• Experience in project management
