Description

As a communicator, you create clear, relevant, and target group-adapted communication that reaches both residents and employees.

You contribute to making the municipality's work visible, strengthening residents' participation, and facilitating understanding of changes and decisions.

As a communicator, you work closely with residents and the municipality's operations. You are often the first contact into the municipality and have an important role in providing service, support, and clear information in everyday life – but also during special events and crises.

The communication unit is part of the municipal management staff and will consist of two communicators, a communication strategist, and will be led by the communication manager. You will work operationally and service-oriented, with a wide variety of tasks.

The communication unit works to ensure that communication is target group-adapted, clear, and coordinated. Internally, communication should contribute to engagement and a good working environment, and externally create transparency and participation in the municipality's decisions, matters, and operations. Communication is also used as a tool for change work, so that the municipality achieves its goals and realizes its vision. The unit is also responsible for the municipality's contact center and works with service and reception to provide residents, businesses, and visitors with clear and accessible information.

Responsibilities

In the role of communicator, you will work broadly with communication and service, including by:

• communicating through all of the municipality's channels: intranet, external website, social media, phone, email, and visits.
• receiving calls and visits at the municipality's contact center
• providing support to internal operations and to residents, businesses, and visitors externally
• working with graphic design and production of communication materials
• participating in the municipality's crisis communication work if necessary
• handling simpler cases and administration
• managing the municipality's communication channels, such as intranet, website, media portal, and telephone systems.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• high digital competence and experience working in various operational systems
• good knowledge of Office 365, especially Outlook and Teams
• experience in communication work, preferably in a public or politically governed organization
• the ability to express yourself clearly and correctly in speech and writing in Swedish
• a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• a university degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or something else that the employer considers equivalent
• experience with CMS such as Sitevision or similar
• knowledge in graphic design and in Adobe programs such as InDesign and Photoshop
• experience with case management systems and telephone systems

As a person, you are service-oriented, self-driven, and proactive. You enjoy varied tasks, are resilient even when the pace is high, and you find it easy to build good relationships.

Conditions

We may use a probationary employment if necessary. For this position, we will conduct some type of work sample in the recruitment process.
