About the Organization

The Sustainability Department is part of the municipal executive office and is a part of the Office for Growth and Sustainability.

The office is responsible for several city-wide strategic processes such as the comprehensive plan, land and development, business development, social and ecological sustainability, as well as safety and security issues. The Sustainability Department works on behalf of the municipal executive and its committees, as well as the municipal management. The department's mission is to develop and support overarching sustainability efforts for the city.

As one of our colleagues is going on parental leave, we are now looking for a temporary replacement for the position of Social Sustainability Strategist.

Job Responsibilities

As a Social Sustainability Strategist in the municipal executive office, you will be responsible for strategically driving and coordinating the City of Trollhättan's transition work within social sustainability. You will ensure that the municipality's public health work is conducted in accordance with the current public health agreement between the City of Trollhättan and the Västra Götaland Region.

The assignment involves communicatively and strategically leading cross-sectoral work within public health. The work is carried out in accordance with the objectives outlined in the city's Sustainability Strategy.

The assignment includes creating conditions and structures to test and implement initiatives and contributing with statistics and analysis for Trollhättan's development. At a high level, you will be responsible for analyzing the current situation, formulating and communicating transition steps, and motivating the organization's employees and managers at various levels to implement changes.

You will create internal and external processes that help the organization take the necessary steps across administrative boundaries and find common sustainable solutions. You will lead cross-sectoral working groups with employees from departments, municipal companies, and other external organizations. For this assignment, you will have close contact with both political leadership and administrative management.

You will report to the Sustainability Manager and be part of the Office for Growth and Sustainability in the Municipal Executive Office.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in public health science or a similar higher education. You are accustomed to working strategically at the management level, managing complex systems, and have strong analytical skills. You have experience working in a politically governed organization and handling political matters. You also have experience with budgeting, monitoring, and financial reporting.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
