We are now looking for an experienced communicator who, with strategic choices and an unpretentious approach, wants to help create curiosity and engagement for what the church does and stands for.

About the position

In this role, you will have a particular responsibility for the congregation's strategic communication, including identifying and analyzing needs and initiating appropriate actions. You will be responsible for overall planning and strategic choices, such as channel selection, message formulation, and visual language in relation to different target groups. You will also work to ensure that the overall communication has a cohesive and professional expression.

Your tasks will also include internal communication and management support. This may involve change communication, development of organizational culture, support during media contacts, and monitoring the external environment. Here, you will work closely with the parish priest and the management team.

Together with your communication colleague, you will also engage in ongoing practical tasks such as web, social media, print production, etc. You will work closely with each other and with the operations, and support colleagues in communication matters as needed.

The communicators belong to the office group, a work team consisting of various support functions with the parish priest as the manager.

…have a theological awareness and experience of engagement in some non-profit organization.

…have a good stylistic sense for both language and form, as well as how communication is adapted for different target groups.

…are highly skilled in the Adobe suite, tools for web publishing, social media, and newsletters, as well as the Microsoft 365 environment.

It is also meritorious to have…

…experience of the Church of Sweden's organization, structure, and culture.

…experience in photography and video production.

…experience in print production.

…awareness of the opportunities and pitfalls of AI tools.

About Lundby congregation

Lundby congregation is located on Hisingen in Gothenburg. Here, people who have lived in Hisingen for several generations mix with people from other parts of Sweden and with new Swedes; all carry with them their cultures, religions, and languages.

New urban environments are being built, the influx is extensive, and the differences in socioeconomic conditions are significant. This diversity is reflected in the congregation's activities as we work to create visible, attractive, and open meeting places where people can meet themselves, meet others, and meet God. Here, both LGBTQI and integration perspectives, as well as other social issues, have a natural place. The congregation has about 60 employees distributed across six work teams.
