Accounting Manager for International Company

Do you have a broad background in accounting and thrive in a role where you take overall responsibility for finance? SJR is now looking for an Accounting Manager for an international company operating in Sweden. This is a long-term employment opportunity with our client located in eastern Gothenburg.

About the Position

In the role of Accounting Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the Swedish company, which has a turnover of approximately 100 million and around 10 employees. Your role is broad, and you will ensure that accounting, reporting, and year-end closing work maintain high quality and that processes, routines, and deadlines are adhered to. The tasks include everything from ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and year-end closing work to analysis and reporting within the international group. You will have an accounting assistant working with accounts receivable by your side. You will work closely with the business and be a natural point of contact for accounting-related issues, both locally and with various international stakeholders.

This is a placement via SJR with our client who has a long-term need. The start date is as soon as possible, but it is also acceptable to have a notice period.

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting (including year-end closing and reporting) and who is used to working independently with significant responsibility. You enjoy working closely with the business and have good system skills in both modern business and reporting systems as well as Excel. Since the role has many international contacts, you also need to feel comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
