About the Department

The Neurosurgery department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) is tasked with providing highly specialized care, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for patients with diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.

The mission is directed towards patients within the Västra Götaland region and Halland, as well as to some extent throughout the country. The Neurosurgery department includes neurology, neurosurgery, clinical neurophysiology, and rehabilitation medicine, as well as an educational unit. Research is conducted within the Neurosurgery department on the function and diseases of the brain and nervous system, as well as advanced-level rehabilitation. We have about 560 employees working within the Neurosurgery department.

What do we offer?

You will be part of the department's central administrative unit along with about 40 employees who all have cross-functional roles within the Neurosurgery department. With us, you will have a versatile, developing role with the opportunity to influence future working methods.

Your Responsibilities

You will work in the neurology team - where we work across both outpatient and inpatient care.

Administrative work with great variation consisting of different parts such as dictation writing with associated administrative tasks, patient contact via 1177 and phone, mail handling - service simply put. Collaborate across the unit to develop our tasks.

About You

We are looking for an engaged medical secretary. You are attentive and can take your own initiatives. You are a team player and enjoy having a laugh.

Important qualities for us are that you are flexible and can be involved in several different processes and tasks at the same time. You are positive, helpful, enjoy challenges, and are good at seeing both the big picture and details. We also believe that you are structured and enjoy working in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities as we value a work environment based on strong engagement, a positive attitude, as well as curiosity and interest.
