Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done. You will work with a woman who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, and you will support her with everything that may arise in her daily life. There are aids for mobility and personal hygiene care. Her interests include outings and activities such as bowling, movies, shopping, coffee breaks at cafés, and listening to music.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following:

• wants to work with a woman in her 50s living in Lönsboda

• has good knowledge of Swedish

• non-smoker

• can tolerate pets (a cat is present in the home)

It is also an advantage if you:

• have experience in similar work

• have experience with communication using speech-generating devices and Bliss

• share the client's interests

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed with varying working hours on weekdays and weekends during the day, evening, and night shifts.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are according to collective agreements.

Start date immediately or according to agreement.
