JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for you who want a part-time job where you can truly make a difference. We are seeking individuals to work extra as escorts, respite caregivers, contact persons, and support families. See descriptions of the assignments below:
Escort
As an escort, you help and support a youth or adult with a disability to participate in community life outside their home and facilitate contact with other people. This may involve accompanying them on walks, to the cinema, sports events, or shopping. As an escort, you have a part-time position and are compensated per hour as needed. Respite Caregiver
In our respite care service, you work at home with children or youth with disabilities so that their parents can have time away from home. The respite caregiver provides care, social interaction, support with meal preparation, and activities in the home or its surroundings. As a respite caregiver, you have a part-time position and are compensated per hour as needed. Contact Person
A contact person is a fellow human and friend who has the time, patience, and interest to provide support to someone who needs to break their isolation. The purpose of the role is to be a companion and friend who promotes social contacts and participation in community leisure activities. Being a contact person is a trust assignment and not a job. You receive compensation in the form of fees and reimbursement of expenses. Support Family
A support family is a way for parents of children with disabilities to receive relief. It is also an opportunity for these children to have a change of environment and a network outside the family. QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for individuals who have a positive view of people, are responsible, and compassionate. You have the ability to maintain professionalism in your role and work with a focus on individual needs and interests. Personal suitability is of great importance. You must be at least 18 years old to perform any of the various assignments. We will request an extract from the police criminal record and social register for applicants.
