Personal assistance is a service according to the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to persons who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You uphold the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to a smooth daily routine.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is responsive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you enjoy an active job and like activities such as cycling and having varied tasks, as some shifts are at school. The young lady lives in a house with her father, so it is also important that you can collaborate well and truly enjoy making a difference in someone's life. You also need to be a calm and secure person and be able to work with a low-arousal approach. This is the first time we are recruiting for this young lady, which means we aim to stably and long-term create a completely new work group. We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Willing to work with a teenage girl residing in Strömsnäsbruk

• Have good knowledge of Swedish

• Have experience with autism and intellectual disabilities

• Non-smoker (during working hours)

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience of similar work

• Have a B driver's license and access to a car

• Speak Bulgarian, Serbian, or Russian

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment rate of approximately 90%. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Approximately, the working hours look like this, and you work every other weekend: approx. 06:30-15:15 (single assistance at school) and approx. 15:15-22:30 (double assistance at home).

Start date: May 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can present a valid ID and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a register extract from all employees who are to work as a personal assistant for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police criminal register and suspicion register prior to a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
