The foster care group in Ljungby Municipality currently consists of a senior social worker, two foster care secretaries, and four child social workers. We are now expanding the group with an additional foster care secretary, making it three. The foster care group is part of the authority department for children and youth within Social Services (IFO) and has a close collaboration with the investigation group.

We have offices centrally located in Ljungby, and everyone has their own office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a foster care secretary, you will work on recruiting, investigating, and matching foster homes and contact families/contact persons with children and youth. You will also be responsible for supporting and guiding the foster homes, both individually and in groups, in their mission to provide good care for the placed children and youth.

Foster care secretaries and child social workers work closely together to ensure that the placed children receive the best possible care. Our goal is to place children in foster homes under our own management. You will have a great opportunity to influence and plan your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent and preferably previous experience in foster care. If you have worked with authority practice within Social Services' work with children and youth and/or treatment, that is an advantage, as well as experience with Signs of Safety and/or ICDP.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, good ability to collaborate with others, and your willingness to contribute to a positive work climate and development within foster care. You should have an open and trust-building approach and be confident in your professional role.

To thrive in the role of foster care secretary with us, you need to be a person who is structured in your way of working, but you also need to be flexible and not afraid to think outside the box. We appreciate if you are social and have the ability to build trusting relationships. You should be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
