RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in a unique operation where you make a real difference for vulnerable people in an acute social situation and contribute to making social services more accessible? Do you want to be part of a competent and dedicated team that has helped start the operation? Then you are warmly welcome to apply to our newly established unit, Social Emergency Kronoberg!

The Social Emergency is part of Work and Welfare and works for all eight municipalities in Kronoberg County. The work involves exercising authority within the framework of social services law. The operation is open outside of office hours, with working hours primarily scheduled for evenings, nights, and weekends. Parts of the working time involve active service together with colleagues, while the remaining part consists of on-call duty from your home.

As a social worker in the social emergency, you will encounter a wide range of different cases and tasks where no day is the same. You will handle acute social problems for individuals within various target groups and ages in social services. Some of the tasks include risk assessments regarding children at risk, decisions on placements in protected housing for victims of violence, decisions on emergency housing, placements in HVB, SIS for children and youth, LVM assessments of reports regarding harmful use and dependency, as well as counseling and referrals. You will collaborate with various authorities, and the work involves both being able to go out on-site and handling the work digitally.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker with at least one year of experience in exercising authority. If you have several years of experience, we consider it a strong merit.

• You have experience in exercising authority within the field of social services.
• You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and possess good computer skills.
• You are comfortable in social situations, both informal and formal, and have a good ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• You stand by your decisions and can convey uncomfortable messages when needed.
• You have a good ability to meet people in crisis situations.
• You can handle stressful situations that require you to make decisions and implement them calmly and methodically.

Meritorious:

• Experience in exercising authority within child and family services in social services
• Work in a reception group
• Work in social emergency or social preparedness

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
