Unika LSS on Segerstadsvägen consists of two group homes and a daily activity center located in Hovsaga, Växjö. The operations encompass a total of 9 places, and we are now looking for a staff member for a specific client at the residence. It is important to read the entire ad before applying for this job as the work involves assisting a person with several challenging behaviors.
About the role of Support WorkerAs a support worker, you will work to provide a meaningful and predictable everyday life with a lot of structure for those living with us.
We adapt our work based on each individual's conditions and needs, and the starting point is the individual's personal implementation plan. Our working method involves having a low-affect response and actively working with clarifying pedagogy.
We are now looking for a support assistant or support educator for a specific client in one of our operations. To work with this client, you need to have a lot of patience, a low-affect response, and be secure in yourself. You also need to be clear in your communication and have good language comprehension. You will need to work as the client's 'help-me' where you are constantly present with the client to support, confirm, and explain. You should be a creative person who enjoys coming up with various activities. The client has several challenging behaviors when anxious, which can manifest in various types of outward aggression. Threats and violence may occur in the work. You need to have experience in similar work and hold a B driver's license.
QualificationsVery good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience and knowledge of the LSS target group.
High school education such as child and leisure program, health and care program, or post-secondary education such as support educator, social educator, or university education in a relevant field.
B driver's license.
Experience with NPF, AAC, and low-affect responses.
Experience with challenging behaviors.
Experience working with the current target group.
Experience working with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Employment conditionsEmployment type: Permanent position, 75%Working hours: Rotating schedule, day, evening, weekend. Working hours are scheduled between 7:15 AM - 1:15 PM, 1:15 PM - 8:15 PM, or 7:15 AM - 8:15 PMStart date: Immediately.Collective agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
