JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Novus is a treatment facility for individuals aged 18 and older with substance abuse issues. The facility consists of two sections divided into outreach activities/entry and a section with traditional substance abuse treatment that includes co-occurring disorders. Our treatment base includes MI, Relapse Prevention, Emotion Regulation, and Seeking Safety. The facility has 13 places with staff available around the clock.

As a treatment pedagogue at Novus, you will work with motivational treatment interventions before the client moves in, during, and after placement. The treatment at the facility is individualized but also occurs in groups. You will work therapeutically both in everyday conversations and in structured individual sessions.

Your responsibilities include writing in documentation systems, establishing implementation plans, and participating in the daily activities at the facility, such as cooking, cleaning, and conducting activities with the residents. You will also support and encourage an active leisure time in drug-free environments and assist residents in starting/completing planning work aimed at finding lasting solutions for an independent life.

Working with clients requires you to be risk-aware, secure, consistent, clear, solution-focused, resilient, and have the capacity to work in a sometimes demanding psychosocial work environment. The work primarily involves building trust and alliances with clients. As a treatment pedagogue, it is essential that you can meet clients' needs while maintaining a structure to guide them. You will become a contact person and thus be responsible for ensuring that treatment is conducted according to the action plan that the client has.

You will work closely with other staff members in the department and other authorities to provide a comprehensive solution for the individual. As an employee, you will participate in internal training for increased professional development.

Your working hours will be scheduled, including weekend and evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant education and consider it an advantage if you have experience in substance abuse treatment. You are secure and stable, have a genuine commitment to vulnerable individuals, and a good understanding of their life situations. You are willing to take initiative within the framework of the organization's rules and routines and enjoy varied tasks. For you, it is natural to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

You have a post-secondary education, such as a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social worker, or equivalent. Further education in the treatment area and experience and knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NP) are advantageous.

A B driver's license is a requirement.
