JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for an engaged care assistant with a heart for care! This group home consists of five apartments and common areas and is located in Bramstorp, outside Växjö. The group home has integrated daily activities that take place outdoors all year round. The design of the daily activities varies by season and can involve everything from firewood management, gardening, and long walks. Due to challenging behaviors, we work preventively and with a low-arousal approach, maintaining consistency within the staff group, where we strive to create a calm, safe, and predictable everyday life where each care recipient receives support based on their individual needs. Much of the work is done alone with care recipients according to a predetermined schedule.

As a care assistant, you play an important role in creating structure and security in the lives of care recipients. You support daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and personal hygiene, as well as leisure activities and social contexts. Here you have the chance and opportunity to work in a homelike environment where care recipients can develop and live an independent life, and we are therefore looking for someone with a genuine commitment to the target group, who is independent but also sees collaboration and communication with colleagues as a given.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you should have a recognized education from the health and care program or equivalent. We prefer that you have experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviors. We also wish for you to have good knowledge of AAC and low-arousal responses. The work requires patience, good collaboration skills, and a professional approach.

We are looking for someone who is calm, stable, and has good collaboration skills. You are engaged, flexible, and communicative with a responsive and curious attitude. You have good knowledge of LSS and a strong focus on quality. You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have experience with documentation. A driver's license is required. Personal suitability is highly valued.

The work is scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, and there may be a need for planning with another workplace.
