JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a difference in people's everyday lives? We are now looking for a responsible support assistant for our service housing.

You will work as a support assistant for six care recipients with LSS decisions, residing in a service housing according to LSS in Alvesta. The job involves responsibility for planning, designing, implementing, and following up on all activities of the care recipients during the day, based on the home environment/housing. You will have close cooperation with the care recipients' staff in their daily activities. As a support assistant with us, you work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible.

You work to create quality care and are expected to engage all senses to contribute to a rich, exciting, active, and independent life for people with disabilities. Contributing to creating a safe atmosphere and stability is also an important part of the job.

Working with people who have physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities is a broad, varied, and challenging job that places high demands on commitment, empathy, responsiveness, collaboration, and endurance. You will be the care recipients' extended arm in everyday life, which may involve supporting them in various activities, with hygiene, assisting during meals, and ensuring that medication is taken as needed. Primarily, you are coaching in your professional role, which means that pedagogical skills are crucial.

We work with great respect for the care recipient's integrity and tailor support to the individual. You will be part of a work team of eight colleagues, making it important that you can communicate and collaborate well.

Working hours are scheduled both during the day and at night, Monday to Sunday, with on-call duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have completed a high school education from the nursing program, child and leisure program with a focus on disabilities, or studied equivalent with a specialization in the disability area that the employer considers equivalent to the above high school qualifications. Previous experience in LSS operations is an advantage.

Additionally, it is advantageous if you have:

• Experience with clear pedagogical methods
• Basic computer skills and documentation experience
• Competence in mental health and anatomical skills
• Driver's license (B)
