We have an equitable education system in Uppvidinge Municipality and create common meeting places for education and working life for all students in Uppvidinge Municipality. You will belong to the central child and student health team, which is a cross-professional team of counselors, special educators, speech therapists, study and career counselors, school nurses, and school psychologists. The assignment is a temporary position during the parental leave of a regular employee as a coordinator for the municipal activity responsibility (KAA) and, together with the school social team, work with students and youth in Uppvidinge Municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to:

  • work with students who do not start or complete their high school studies and who are caught by the municipal activity responsibility - KAA
  • continue the work with the ESF project SKRUVAS, in which Uppvidinge Municipality participates
  • work with students with problematic school absenteeism in our primary schools
  • enjoy juggling many tasks while being good at planning and structuring your work

As a social pedagogue/social worker, you will work closely with students/youth, guardians, teachers, and school management to provide students with the best conditions and guidance towards studies, internships, or work. You will be part of the school social team and collaborate closely with the establishment and labor market unit as well as social services (IFO). Your tasks include building good relationships with youth through outreach work, mapping obstacles and identifying opportunities, conducting motivational conversations, and participating in various networks both locally and externally.

In Kronoberg County, we work according to the Kronobarn model, which is a collaboration tool between Region Kronoberg and all municipalities in the county, coordinating various internal and external efforts.

You will be part of the central child and student health team, which, through primarily promotional and preventive work, is responsible for ensuring that the efforts of student health contribute to students' achievement of goals and successful school attendance. You will also participate in the schools' EHT when needed, where the principal, special educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, speech therapist, and school psychologist are included.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an important adult for our students, seeing every student's potential and believing in each individual's possibilities. This means you have energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and at the same time are a calm and secure person who understands that all students have different conditions. You are a colleague who is among the students, who sees, listens, and acts as support for individual students and classes. You are creative and are happy to come up with new ideas and perspectives.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an educated social pedagogue or social worker
  • builds good relationships and is secure in your professional role
  • has a positive view of students
  • sees opportunities instead of obstacles
  • has a strong commitment
  • has experience with MI

A driver's license is a requirement.

OTHER

If you are considered for employment, the employer will request an extract from the criminal record. The municipal council has decided that all new hires must present a criminal record extract before employment. The extract to be presented is the one for work in schools or preschools.
