JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a support educator who, with pedagogical competence, commitment, and structure, wants to contribute to increased independence and quality of life for our care recipients. Here, you will have a central role in the pedagogical work, close to both users and colleagues, and the opportunity to make a real difference in everyday life.

In the role of support educator, you will work closely with care recipients and together with colleagues in the workgroup. You have an important role in enhancing the quality of the pedagogical work and contributing to a user-focused operation.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• supporting and developing individuals with disabilities based on individual needs,
• providing daily support and care interventions and participating in activities
• working systematically with implementation plans and social documentation according to applicable legislation, guidelines, and management systems
• providing pedagogical guidance to the workgroup and mentoring colleagues in communication methods, clear pedagogy, and low-arousal responses
• introducing new staff and being a good role model in pedagogical work
• implementing new pedagogical methods in the workgroup
• driving and promoting pedagogical development work in workplace meetings
• contributing to ensuring that care recipients live a meaningful and as independent life as possible.

As a support educator, you will also become part of a network where support educators, supervisors, and operational developers meet to exchange experiences and develop working methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education as a support educator (200 YH) or other relevant post-secondary education,
• work experience in LSS operations,
• good computer skills and documentation experience,
• the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish,
• good physical ability, as care recipients may have varying needs for support and assistance in everyday life,
• driver's license B (requirement).

Knowledge or experience in sign language communication, clear pedagogy, and low-arousal responses is meritorious. Experience with documentation in LifeCare is considered a plus.
