JOB DESCRIPTION

The job description includes the usual tasks for a social worker in the field of children and youth. The tasks consist of investigating and assessing the resources and needs of children and families, as well as deciding on and following up various interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young People (LVU). The work includes meetings and conversations with children, youth, and families, where documentation is an important task. We have a reception that handles new reports of concern and preliminary assessments in these cases. You will have support in your work from the unit manager and the workgroup.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, and it is an advantage if you have experience in social work and in public authority within the field of children and youth. Our operational system is Cambio VIVA. We are looking for someone who can understand other people's life situations with a clear child perspective and who can prioritize contact and time with children and youth.

As a social worker, it is part of your daily work to meet children and families in need of support. Therefore, it is important that you have a good attitude by listening and creating an understanding of the people you meet in your professional role. You are calm and stable and can act calmly in stressful situations. Furthermore, you should be able to organize your work efficiently and you find it easy to reprioritize your tasks during the workday if necessary. As a social worker, you will also need to travel for work to follow up on the care of placed children and youth who are outside the municipality, as well as travel that may occur during placements.

The requirements are that you have a B driver's license and are a social worker. You should have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. Good IT skills and knowledge of the documentation system Cambio VIVA are advantageous. Personal suitability is highly valued.
