Do you want to help shape the church of the future where the city meets the countryside? We are now looking for an engaged parish priest for Gårdsby parish within Växjö pastorate. Here, the best of both worlds meet – the proximity to Växjö city and the tranquility of the Småland countryside. Sandsbro is the main location of the parish, an expanding part of Växjö with growing life and community.

In Gårdsby parish, there is a large and vibrant children and youth ministry with many confirmands. You will have the opportunity to celebrate services both in the large church during holidays and in the smaller chapel for intimate and personal settings. You will be part of a well-functioning team that collaborates closely with colleagues in the Northern area, and together we work to unite tradition and renewal in parish life.

We are looking for someone who is an ordained priest within the Church of Sweden and enjoys meeting people of all ages. You have a particular commitment to children, youth, and confirmands, as well as to worship life, parish building, and diaconal work. We see that you have the ability to work independently and flexibly while valuing collaboration and long-term changes. There may be opportunities for leadership roles, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.
