JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a 90% substitute for Virda Short-Term Accommodation!

To work with us, it is important that you have an interest and understanding of people with functional variations. You should have confidence in yourself and be a stable person. You should be able to adopt a coaching approach and provide support as needed.

In this position, you will support young people with disabilities who show high sensitivity and therefore place high demands on your attentiveness to their needs to feel good. You should thus have a low-arousal approach and understand challenging behavior.

Your tasks will also include medication management, some cleaning, documentation, and information transfer.

Virda Short-Term Accommodation is aimed at children and young people up to 20 years old with intellectual disabilities, autism, and challenging behavior.

In short-term supervision, children/youth stay after school hours and during holidays to have a meaningful and safe leisure time. Here, children/youth stay and overnight during various time intervals to access a different environment and to have the opportunity for personal development while their relatives receive relief.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a vocational degree from the care and nursing program, the child and leisure program, or another equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

You must be at least 18 years old and have at least one year of experience with LSS and have worked with and understand individuals with autism and challenging behavior.

You should have a good ability to collaborate, be responsible, and be humble and attentive in your interactions with children/youth. We see that you are flexible and solution-focused as the work involves significant responsibility and the ability to make independent decisions in certain situations.
