JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of daily activities is to provide meaningful engagement for individuals, contribute to personal development, and promote participation in society.

Vallhagen Söder is an individually tailored daily activity where the participants' goals, interests, and needs are guiding. You are genuinely interested in meeting participants with warmth and commitment. You create conditions and recognize each individual's unique ability to develop based on their own motivation and curiosity. You have a holistic view of humanity, a positive attitude, and a belief in the individual's potential for development. You will play an important role in finding solutions to challenges and adapting and offering meaningful activities that suit the individual. Challenging behavior may occur.

Other tasks included in the assignment are, for example, being a permanent care contact, liaising with representatives and relatives, establishing implementation plans, social documentation, cleaning, and health and social care interventions.

The positions are at 90%.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, a recognized education from the care and nursing program, child and leisure program, nursing education with further training, caregiver training, or other education deemed suitable for the position, such as behavioral science or pedagogical education at the university level of at least 120 credits, is required.

It is a requirement that you are physically strong, can swim, can cycle, can walk both short and long distances, and enjoy having an active job, as well as having a B driver's license. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Experience and knowledge of intellectual disabilities with mobility impairments, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) are meritorious. Additionally, experience working with challenging behavior and using a low-arousal approach is advantageous.

The ability to adapt your response to individuals and situations is important. Key qualities include being humble and focusing on what works for the individual, as well as being creative in finding solutions when previous methods no longer work.

You contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related matters and in situations that need resolution. You understand what different approaches and actions can yield in results. You actively seek others' opinions and perspectives and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care.
