JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for our care recipients.

The position involves evening and night shifts within personal assistance in regular housing.

Personal assistant to a man in his 50s who leads an active life and lives centrally in Växjö. The care recipient has a great need for care and requires extensive support. You will support and help the care recipient in daily life and during social activities.

Your tasks will range from working in a structured, pedagogical manner with communication to assisting with transfers and care. Tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation will occur. The care recipient's support needs require you to have good physical fitness and be able to assist the care recipient in and at pool bathing.

You will become part of a team working on developing care for the recipients. We work on a 6-week schedule with the opportunity to influence based on the needs of the operation, where there is joint planning within the unit. Work every other weekend. Evening and night work. Travel to other locations with overnight stays may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to work with individuals with disabilities and sees the charm in providing support to care recipients. You are positive and recognize the importance of a holistic perspective for the care recipient. You work together with colleagues towards set goals but are also independent in the role of personal assistant. You share your experience and bounce ideas and thoughts and are not afraid of development.

To be considered for the position, a valid qualification from the healthcare and social care program, child and leisure program, nursing education with additional training, caregiver training, or childcare education with at least two years of training or other education deemed suitable for the operation, e.g., behavioral science or pedagogical education at the university level of at least 120 credits, is required.

It is advantageous if you have experience with disabilities, low affective responses, and work as a personal assistant. Administrative tasks such as documentation and scheduling are also part of the job responsibilities.

To be considered for employment, you need to provide an extract from the police criminal record for verification of your own information in the criminal record/individual (442.3) according to § 9, 1st paragraph.
