About us
The Coordination Department works to support the leadership of the Air Force and the Air Staff in their efforts to lead the Air Force. Within the department, we work with internal, external, and international staff work. The Coordination Section is part of the Coordination Department and primarily works with administrative routines and case management.
Main tasks
As a staff assistant in the Coordination Department, you will work with administrative tasks related to the Air Staff and the Air Force. You will work closely with the leadership of the Air Staff and the Air Force on tasks that challenge you in a constantly evolving and influencing environment. As a staff assistant, you may also support other departments of the Air Staff in their work.
- Case management and case follow-up in several different management systems.
- Expedition service, including Vidar support and drafting of documents.
- Support for the Air Staff's and the department's long-term planning, coordination, and implementation of activities.
- Support with orders, logistics, and coordination during seminars, meetings, and visits.
- Taking minutes during internal and external meetings.
- Purchasing and ordering of goods and products.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is responsible, structured, and meticulous. As a staff assistant, it is required that you are results-oriented and have a good ability to adapt to changing conditions. We are looking for someone who has a good ability to work in a team as well as independently. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. It is important that you are a good representative of the Armed Forces and support its values. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Qualifications
- Completed Swedish military service, GMU, or equivalent military basic training with a passing result.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
- Good computer skills with a particular focus on the Office package but also the ability to familiarize yourself with new systems.
- Driver's license B.
Meritorious
- Experience working in an administrative function/position.
- Experience with similar tasks within the Armed Forces or another authority.
- Experience working in systems VIDAR, PRIO, SWECCIS, and ISUS.

The Air Staff's first and largest task is to support the Air Force Chief's leadership of all squadrons and schools in the Air Force at all levels of the conflict scale. The Air Staff develops, plans, implements, and evaluates orders and directives issued by the Air Force Chief. The Air Staff consists of approximately 350 employees. The Air Force organizes and trains air, base, and command units and has the task of monitoring and protecting Sweden's airspace. It is a mission that continues around the clock, year-round, to ensure Sweden's integrity. Approximately 5100 employees, both civilian and military, work within the Air Force.
