Our team has expertise in the application of health economic methods in health areas, including RCT-based and model-based economic evaluations of various interventions, as well as using registry data to evaluate health and economic effects of healthcare interventions. Our health economists lead several projects in various fields, including mental health, child health, public health, precision medicine, and innovation in healthcare. We collaborate with clinicians to achieve the best possible outcomes. The group has several national and international partners and engages in commissioned work for various healthcare providers, municipalities, regions, and foundations.

The projects require knowledge in health economics, statistics, econometrics, and epidemiology. Job responsibilities include analyzing data from both clinical studies and Swedish registries regarding the consumption of societal resources, costs, and health outcome data, as well as calculating the cost-effectiveness of various interventions. The postdoctoral researcher is also expected to write scientific publications, contribute to grant writing, teaching, and supervising junior researchers.

These projects provide a unique opportunity to develop new research tools and support better decision-making in child and mental health.

Qualifications

The applicant should have a PhD in health economics, economics, epidemiology, public health, or medicine. The candidate should have experience working with large databases and analyzing cost and outcome data, as well as conducting cost-effectiveness analyses using advanced quantitative methods.

Desirable/meritorious

Experience in registry-based studies that can be confirmed with scientific publications is meritorious, as well as skills in data visualization and presenting research results effectively. We place particular emphasis on the ability to communicate in both spoken and written form – in both Swedish and English.
