Department of Ecology

The Department of Ecology conducts research and education in ecology focusing on the dynamics of populations, communities, and ecosystems, often with an emphasis on the ecology of agricultural and forest landscapes. Fundamental and applied questions regarding the ecological consequences of land use and biodiversity are often addressed together in both individual projects and larger collaborations.

About the Job

To assist in the handover and introduction of tasks from the previous to the newly appointed coordinator of the SLU part of the strategic research program StandUp for energy www.standupforenergy.se (http://www.standupforenergy.se). This primarily involves managing the annual reporting and budget planning within the program and preparations for the program's annual research conference. Furthermore, it includes assisting in the evaluation of strategic research areas, including StandUp for energy, which will take place nationally in 2025.

Your Background

We are looking for a senior researcher who should be an associate professor in plant, soil, or systems ecology and have experience in research and research coordination related to energy systems. Excellent knowledge of the STandUP for energy research program since its inception in 2010 is required.

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is responsible and performs tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You should have good collaboration skills but also be able to work independently. The nature of the tasks requires that you can communicate well in Swedish and English.

Department of Ecology, SLU, Ultuna campus in Uppsala.

Employment Type:

Fixed-term employment for 360 days.
